Dear Lilamani Ji, I came to this site after a long time and have both good and sad feeling. Good ! that you are still continuing... and sad, looking at the no. of visitor and thier inputs. Hope it will develop over the time. I am so happy that GoN ratified the UNCRPD yesterday. I remember that I had asked you about that convention once. I wanted some information from you this time. The use of CCTV (close circuit television) is on rise, both from private sector and the government. I have seen CCTV cameras in the entrance of singhdurbar also. Similarly, number of private institutions such as banks, financial institutions, diplomatic offices, INGOs using CCTV is increasing day by day. I wanted to know under which guidelines/laws/regulation the government is using CCTV... similarly, is there any guidelines/law which regulate the use of CCTV by the private parties. I had gone through the news couple of weeks ago that the Nepal police is planning to install CCTV facilities in some parts of the city. It would be great to know, especially, whether there exists any law in this regards or not (who can install it, under which regulation, how longer the images can be stored/who has the access to that records etc). I hope for your answer, like in the past. Once again, Bravo for your effort to continue this blog. Regards, Pranita Sharma

Major Basnet
Content
I am aware of the case regarding the United Nations and Major Basnet. I call on the Army to hand over Major Basnet immediately to the civilian authorities so that he is arrested and transferred to the civilian Kavre District Court for trial without delay. Furthermore I would like the Nepal Army to cooperate fully with civilian court, including providing it with details of the army's internal investigations into Maina Sunuwar's killing.

negative attitude
Content
kedar jee thank you for your reminder. I consider you as my well wisher who tells weaknesses without reservation and promotes strengths as well. I would like to say sorry if I have hurt anyone while asking them to perform their duty. I have sensed that few of the staff members are not happy with the work plan we wanted to introduce in OPMCM with my initiative. My intention never remained to trouble anyone but always seek dedication and commitment on duty. I never asked anyone to serve my purpose and to serve organization dutifully. I would further appreciate you if you could give me a little bit more specific suggestions rather than just blanket comment. I will try to be friendlier with my colleagues. Thanks

Negative Attitude & Self-Spermacy
Content
Liala Mani Jee, I have heard that most of the good staffs of MoIC left the MoIC just due to your rude behavior and negative attitude. Also, the staffs of the office of the prime minister and cabinet secretariat are being victims due to your overwhelming negative leadership and self-declared supremacy. Therefore, would you see any negative attitude inside yourself? And do you think, is it essential to reform your way of administration and leadership as quick as possible? I just want to give you a feedback that most of your subordinates are annoyed with you and they feel really sorry to be your subordinates. Please think it seriously in time. Good Luck!

divergence in the practice of charging custom duty on import
Content
We shall like to bring to your kind notice that there is a divergence in the practice of charging custom duty on import of power generators into Nepal. We are an small scale company at Agra (INDIA)and our products are priced on much lower rates than big companies like JAKSON or KIRLOSKAR. We also enjoy excise duty SSI exemption on our products. Our products have won fame in Nepal due to good quality with reasonable prices and prompt after sales service. Recently our buyer at Kathmandu has complained that custom officials at Sunoli border are un-necessary inflating the prices of our products thus they have to pay much higher rate of custom duty. We believe there is a nexus behind the scene. We request as below: 1.The prices mentioned in our invoice shall be accepted for the purpose of computation of import custom duty into Nepal. 2.If there is any guideline issued by the department by which the prices of invoices are inflated to certain level, than kindly send us a copy of the same. We request you to kindly look into the matter seriously and oblige. With warm regards.

LMP ji, I thank you for your effort. My interst was with the manner the 75 stations were set up. Looks like they would not be having information in that detail. I was hoping that records in the ministry's archive would corroborate what I know personally as fact. Armugam

To Armugam According to sources of Nepal Telecom (NT) it has started commercial wireless service from BS 2005 although telecom service was there since BS 1970. "Mark 4" high frequency radio system produced by Radio Corporation of America was installed in all 75 district head quarters at the first. Later in BS 2037/38 the Mark 4 was replaced by Canadian Vacuum tube of Marconi. Vacuum tube too were replaced by Mexican Kachina. From BS 2065 Shrawan 1 all wireless stations were closed. I don't know whether this information is as per your requirement or not. Pls comment.

Thanks armugam. I had gone through that article since I know Hemanta jee and had organized an interaction program in the Ministry of Tourism and civil aviation about flight safety after Lukla accident and Hemanta jee was one of the special invitee. he often writes about aviation safety. I have inquired the Ministry of Communication and followed up subsequently but the Ministry is too slow to respond in this case.

Dear Secretary, Was dropping to your blog after a while. Similarly, was checking what happened to that website of Ministry of health. It was not surprising for me to find that the Ministry has still not removed the wrong fact 'Nepal is a Hindu Kingdom' from its website even after two month, A job which take less then 2 hours. More on e-mail. PS
